Invitation to attend the Online Talk on 'Transformation Urbanism, Catalysing Economic Development Through Spatial Planning' in India.

Warm greetings from Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP) and hope this email finds you in good health.
It is a great pleasure to inform you that the Government of India (GoI) took a grand initiative of reforming Urban Planning Systems and its Institutions. In May 2022, the GoI formed a High Level Committee on Urban Planning to prepare the reform proposal to NITI Aayong (former Planning Commission) and to the Honourable Prime Minister of India. This HLC has completed its final report and GoI has taken initiatives of its implementation.
BIP got the opportunity to invite the Chairperson of this HLC Shri Keshav Varma to give an online TALK to share his experiences to lead the journey of the High Level Committee to experience the learning how to proceed forward with the Spatial Planning Framework in Bangladesh (draft final report is prepared already).
With this backdrop, it is my privilege to invite all distinguished members of BIP, built environment professionals, policy makers and researchers to an Online Talk on 'Transformation Urbanism, Catalysing Economic Development Through Spatial Planning' to be held on August 12, 2023 (Saturday), at 11:00 AM (BD Time) on Zoom Platform.
